Welcome from Chair Shatish Dasani 

Thank you for your interest in joining UNICEF UK as our new Chief Executive.

We have come a long way in the last few years, and this is an exciting moment for our organisation. If you join us, you will lead our ambitious strategic plan for 2023 to 2026 – to achieve significant growth in income, influence, impact and organisational development – as well as develop and deliver our next strategy.

As one of the key countries amongst the 33 UNICEF National Committees, UNICEF UK raises funds for UNICEF’s emergency and development work around the world and advocates for lasting change for children worldwide. In the UK, we reach around 2.5 million children each year through our Baby Friendly Initiative, Rights Respecting Schools Award, and Child Friendly Cities and Communities programmes.

We are proud of our dynamic, talented and values driven team, and are seeking a new Chief Executive that will share those values and provide inspirational leadership, as well as strong representation with supporters, government, opinion formers, the media and the public, and also within the international UNICEF organisation.

We wish to encourage applications from experienced senior leaders drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds. You will be a values-driven leader with proven experience of shaping organisational vision and successfully implementing strategy. You will demonstrate significant experience in leading and managing complex organisations with a sophisticated understanding of fundraising and advocacy. You will have the ability to build strong relationships across a wide and diverse stakeholder map.

To succeed, it is essential that you have the capability and leadership skills to thrive in the complex and unique environment of leading a major UK charity that is also part of a global UN Agency.
